Today the UK government let us know how they are going to spend on Edu. This is what I got from it..
- Budget raise from £35bn to £39bn
- Schools will have more autonomy
- £2.5bn pupil premium – supports disadvantaged kids, includes 15 hourr per week entitlement
- Surestart is protected
- 15 free hours for disadvantaged 2 year olds
- DFE lost 1% buget
- Central admin lost 1/3 budget
- Phase out BSF
