While I would probably be what you consider to be a Google Fan girl 🙂 I do think this video does throw up the main issue that all schools need to consider which is that you need to have a ROBUST internet connection to use Google Apps effectively.Â
And actually, Google Apps is not suitable for either every school or every situation. For example, while I use Google Docs a great deal I still use Excel for some things and indeed keynote and pages for others. For schools, it’s about making well-informed decisions based on what works best for you, your school or organisation.
I don’t think that’s the main issue at all. Â The main issue is that you are putting all of your resources/data into a piece of software that could change under your feet at any time. Â This could leave you unable to teach the curriculum and possibly without your data. Â
