John will kids be able to rack up xp points by repeating same game over or will there be an element of challenge and levels to encourage widening and deepening learning?
The idea is that the more they score from the game or task they receive less in the way of XP, so first time it may be 800, next time 200, time after that 100..
We have to make sure the system isn’t too focused on learning in a certain area but really caters the individual pupils learning style..
For example.. If we know a learner tends to get higher scores from games that have more of an audio element we should in theory be able to suggest games that suit their learning style. I recognise this part is controversial so we probably wont be including it in the initial release. That way we focus on the learner, not the content. In theory.
