They're nowhere near the cheapest option, but since you're passing costs onto customers it just means you make a little less profit - and I use them for all my personal domains too, that's how pleased I am with them. They are incredibly awesome at providing full management of your dns zone with a lovely interface. Renewal fees were exorbitant in comparison to the initial purchase costs and they were generally pretty rubbish. I current use 123reg.co.uk for all my uk domains.
