  • Adding google search to your VLE or Learning platform

Date: 2009.04.29 | Category: free, google, learning platform, primary school, primary technology, safe, search, vle | Response: 0

This is a question I keep getting asked so I wanted to answer it.

“How do I put a google search onto my VLE or website or Blog”

Firstly, it is wrong that the google search on your VLE or Learning platform should show adds.

Secondly, if it does then whoever put it on is probably making money off it (we see this a lot and its a disgusting trend to make $ out of childrens searches in the bid they click on adds)

So yeah of course its doable for free and easily. What you want (assuming your a school) is a safe search without adds and focused on education.

Right, anyways.. The best solution is Primary School Safe Search

So you need to add some code to make this happen, but don’t worry its just copy and paste..

    The code is available here

  • Wolverine n stuff

Went to see wolverine 2nite at cineworld Bradford, liked it. It’s a good night at the cinema. It’s not a ground breaking film, its just good substance for someone who kinda likes comic book based films with a bit of creativity (but not too much)..

P’s last night with us lot before he bounces to London, its cool though cause spend just as much time online hanging out as we do offline so I’m sure we will keep in touch.

Something today made me think I should prolly go see my brothers Wife or at least add her on facebook..

Anyways I hope shes okay cause shes preggers n all!

  • Being the first

The guardian published an article by some dude who said blogging and wikis are good for Primary schools. I dunno, are they? If so, who cares? At least 20% of the people who read it will believe it. If those 20% are influential then mebbe 10% of the UK Primary schools will want access to a blog or so..

Anyway, the article was published 7 days ago. In 7 days we have launched a Wiki and a Blog product:

    PrimaryWiki and Primary Blogger

This is a great example of how quick a company can move and this is how fast other companies in education should be moving!

If you have an idea you want to implement quickly then just get in touch and we will be happy to help!

  • Chowdreys AKA Amballas (Curry house Bradford) review

    Date: 2009.04.28 | Category: Uncategorized | Response: 0

I’m a lover of curry so I write this with a heavy heart, I don’t have much time so I’m going to write in bullet points how bad they messed up:

    Negative:

    Overpriced (Avg £8.50 a dish)
They got my curry name wrong when delivering it to the table ( A BHUNA IS NOT A FSKING MADRAS – cardinal sin you stupid muppets)
We took some curry to go and they got them all mixed up
They stood over our shoulder while we ate
They made a curry called a Meesah or something which was the worst thing I have ever tasted.
Too much emphasis on style over substance.

    Positive:

Main portions were a good size.
    Starters were good.

In a nutshell, not a place to re-visit.

Also Wt monkey is going on w/ the med theme upstairs, indian vs mes from a place that was once renowned as the best sweet shop in bradford.. FAIL!
